Turlock, California – 1946-2025
Susan Kaye Buckley, 79, of Turlock, California, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1946, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Frank and Helena Cook.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helena Cook; her sisters, Ina Martin and Anna Ammirato; and her brothers, Frank Cook Jr. and John Cook.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Arthur Edward Buckley; her loving children, Natalie Ann Sylvia, Arthur Allen Buckley, and Candace Sue Cox; and her sister, Janette Clifford. Susan was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren: Makenzie Elizabeth Espinoza, Roy Gabriel Frisk, Jacob Zachary Cox, Ella Grace Buckley, Ava Elizabeth Buckley, and Arthur Luke Buckley. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Lillian Susana Espinoza, Luis Samuel Espinoza, and Josephine Ann Espinoza, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
A devoted Catholic, Susan’s faith was central to her life. She loved Jesus, her Savior, and faithfully participated in church, Bible studies, and fellowship opportunities that strengthened her walk with the Lord.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother and great-grandmother, and a woman of unwavering faith whose kindness, warmth, and love touched all who knew her.

To celebrate Susan’s life, a recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am on Friday, January 9, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Church, 4040 McKenna Dr. in Turlock. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Modesto.
