Tajinder Singh Kooner

Tajinder Singh Kooner of Tracy, California has passed away at the age of 56. He was born in England to Mohinder Singh Kooner and Surinder Kaur Johal. He married Margarita Moreno. He served in the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department.
Tajinder also went by names Taj and Sukh or Sukhi. Tajinder was a hardworking family man. He was always smiling, always positive and a fighter when faced with adversity. He was kind, gentle, caring and passionate about all things family.
As in the words of his cousin sister Sonia “to be Sukhi (Su-Ki) in Punjabi means to be happy, at peace and that is exactly what Sukhi was. The date April 14th 2026 when he passed was Vaisakhi, a sacred holy time in Punjabi culture that represents so many things, new beginnings, rebirth. love, humility, selfless service, equality, unity, courage, faith and gratitude.
Tajinder is survived by his wife Maggie, his sons, Nasseem and Tajinder, his grandchildren, Jeremiah and Josiah, his loving mother, Surinder, and father, Mohinder, his brother Gurinderjit and his sisters, Amarjit and Kamaljit.
A Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, April 23 from 3pm-5pm.
A Funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, April 24 from 10am-12pm. Cremation to follow funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St Joseph’s Hospital, Stockton, Pediatric Cancer.
