Timothy Paul Matsen Sr., passed away on August 29, 2025, in Hilmar California. He was born on January 22, 1956, in St. Louis Obispo, California.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978. His years of service reflected a deep commitment to duty and honor. In his leisure time, Tim found joy in traveling with his trailer, exploring new places. He also had a fondness for playing bingo. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of life lived with purpose and resolve.
Tim is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Reane Torres, his sister Kathy Laughton, and his brother, Richard Matsen.
Tim is survived by his wife, Gloria Matsen, his children Michelle Matsen, Raquel Matsen, Tim Matsen Jr., Daniel Torres and Bobby A. Torres. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Elizabeth Feitas, Rebecca English and Alexus Rabon.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, beginning at 5:00pm followed by a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, in Turlock. Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Merced.
