Allen Mortuary offers free ‘livestreaming” of services held in our main chapel. We invite you and your loved ones to have a keepsake of the funeral proceedings and invite those to watch that may not be able to attend.
If a service is ‘livestreamed’ you will be provided with a link to the site and a pin number to view the service. This information can be found in the loved one’s obituary if the streaming is public. The service can be viewed live on any device or you may tune in at another time in the future. The link and pin will not change.
Private livestreams can be viewed at the permission and discretion of the loved one’s family.
Cash advances are itemized charges from third party vendors that we will collect and pay for you. These will be clearly designated on your contract. This is for done for your convenience with no mark up from us. We recognize that the tasks involved in processing a death are not common knowledge to most people. Examples of common cash advance items are:
- Death Certificates
- Burial Permits
- Cremation fees
- Clergy honorariums
- Church fees
- Musician and audio fees
- Cemetery charges
We are happy to submit, free of charge, your loved one’s death notice in our local paper, The Turlock Journal.
An obituary is a newspaper notice of the death of a person that contains a biographical sketch. We routinely submit your desired obituaries to any newspaper, relieving you of this task. We will inform you in advance of the newspaper’s cost for submission. With your help and approval, we are happy to compose from scratch or help you edit your already drafted obituary.
At no additional cost to you, we will place your obituary on our website at www.Allenmortuary.com or on our Facebook page, if desired.
Family and friends may write their condolence message on our website. Go to the obituary section and a form to submit your message is at the bottom of the selected obituary. If you have any questions or need assistance in submitting or making changes to your condolence message, we are here to assist you.
LIFE TRIBUTE DVD
A popular way to share memories of your loved one is through a memorial DVD that can be shown on a large screen during the service (available in all of our chapels and Event Center). Allen Mortuary can create the DVD tribute for a nominal fee (free of charge with packages – see our Pricing). Contact us for additional information about creating a memorable tribute DVD that you will have for years to come.
PERSONALIZING YOUR TRIBUTE
More and more people today choose to personalize the celebration of life they plan. Favorite music or a favorite activity can all become part of the service. There are many ways to plan a loving tribute that captures the spirit of the person whose life you wish to honor. Your arrangement counselor will listen and assist you in planning the most appropriate tribute. Please bring to Allen Mortuary any photos or memorabilia you would like to have on display.
