Surjit Kaur Bains
1946 – 2026
Surjit Kaur Bains, age 80, passed away in 2026. She was born in India and later immigrated to Merced, California in 2000 before making her home in Turlock in 2003.
Surjit was a devoted member of the Turlock Sikh Temple, where she found great strength in her faith and community. She cherished her traditions and was deeply grounded in her spiritual beliefs, which guided her throughout her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Paramjit Bains and Amarjit Bains; her daughter, Karamjit Kaur; five grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Sikh Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway, Turlock, California.
