Shirley Ann Silva, 86, of Delhi, passed away on April 25, 2026 in Oakdale, California. Shirley was born in Modesto, California, and was one of six children born to Melvin and Amelia Parker. Shirley met the love of her life, Dan Silva at the young age of 14. They were married shortly after. Dan and Shirley loved each other so much and they were married for 51 years before Dan passed away in 2006. Together they had 6 children, Dan Jr, Manuel, Steve, Donna, Richard and Laurie. Shirley loved her children and grandchildren so much. Her grandchildren, especially her great-grandchildren, were the apple of her eye.

Shirley loved to crochet and cook and was always willing to share a recipe. Shirley retired from CSU Stanislaus as a cook in the cafeteria, where she proudly prepared and served delicious meals to many college students and staff over the years. Shirley loved going to antique stores and to the casino and especially loved to play bingo. She loved to read and could finish a large book in only a few days! Shirley also loved to color intricate coloring books and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. Shirley loved visiting with her dear friend, Melinda Tripp and her therapy dogs Rocky and Gypsy.

Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband Dan, her parents and four siblings, her sons Dan Silva Jr and Steve Silva, and her daughter Laurie Delgado and son-in-law John Delgado. Shirley is survived by her sister Geraldine Fenk, her sons Manuel (Connie) Silva and Richard Silva, and daughter Donna (Rick) Davenport. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, Mandie Onate, Ginger Aguiar, John Michael Delgado, Amy Silva, Julie Silva, Steve Silva, Anthony Silva and Sandy Davenport. Shirley is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary (247 N. Broadway in Turlock, CA) on Monday, May 4th from 9 am to 11 am, with sharing of memories at 10 am. The graveside funeral service will take place the same day, immediately following the visitation at Turlock Memorial Park (575 N. Soderquist Road in Turlock). Graveside service will begin at 11:30 am.
