Deborah Estelle Murillo
August 2, 1954 ~ August 1, 2026
Deborah Estelle Murillo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, one day before her 72nd birthday. She was born on August 2, 1954, in Pittsburg, California.
As an infant, Debbie was lovingly adopted by the McComb family, who raised her in Stockton, California. She often spoke with gratitude for the love and support they gave her throughout her life. She attended Stagg High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Human Resources from the University of Phoenix.
Debbie dedicated her career to serving others through leadership and compassion. She spent 25 years at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where her commitment and expertise led her to become Vice President of Human Resources. She later continued her career at Save Mart as Senior Manager of Benefits and Leave Administration, where she was respected for her professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for employees.
For 50 wonderful years, Debbie shared a loving marriage with her husband, Ben Murillo. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother to two children, a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, and a joyful great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and watching each new generation grow.
Debbie found great joy in traveling, cooking, and gardening. Above all, she treasured bringing people together. Whether hosting holiday celebrations, family dinners, or gatherings with friends, she had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and at home. Her generous heart, warm smile, and caring spirit touched countless lives and created memories that will be cherished forever.
Debbie’s legacy lives on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service celebrating Debbie’s life will be announced at a later date. The family appreciates your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
