December 1939 – June 2022
Granny moved to Hilmar, in 1987 and moved into her “Little House on the Prairie”, where she lived for the rest of her life. She was very known in her small town of Hilmar, she was a place of safety and comfort for a lot of people, where she even had her own parking spot at the local store. She enjoyed gardening and was known to have a green thumb; people were impressed by her beautiful roses in the backyard. Granny loved decorating her front yard for holidays, especially Christmas, when one year she had over 75 trees in the front yard, Granny was known for her deers and fake snow as well.
She also made sure that everyone around her felt loved and knew that they had a place in heaven. She never believed in judging others and was accepting of people. She always made sure everyone had a granny, she would ask “Do you have a granny?” and when they would say no she would say “you do now”.
Her family remembers her as being loving, caring and strong willed and one of the toughest persons they knew. In high school she was voted “Queen Babbs” and rode as a queen on the school float.
Barbara is survived by her children Richard Weaver, Pam Weaver, Tarrah Griffin, Matthew McCoy, Zachary Moreno and Christle Jacquez; grandchildren Jamie Parsons, Breann Parsons, Monica Moniz, Mario Armendariz, Vanessa Jacquez, Isaac Jacquez, Jojo Garza, and Andrew Price; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Griffin and grandson Christopher Parsons.
She will be deeply missed.

You kept me inline when I lost my cool.You taught me so many things but most of all that love will conquer all! I already miss our phone calls and hearing you cough! I miss your little head and your skinny arm wrapped in mine as we walk together! Your crooked finger and perfect toes lol! You taught me to never leave Jesus out of my life and have faith that heaven has a place for me! I love you my swan buddie love your tootie!

June 16, 2022 at 6:40 pmOh my Precious Aunt, I will remember you always. The many, many hours spent on the phone through the years. The summer vacations. The many trips you made to Fresno. Life seemed so different and carefree at those times. I still see you there in your jeans, your bottle of coke, the gum, and the Excedrin of course. This isn’t really goodbye but see you later. We will meet up again one day, but until then we will carry on. I love you always.
