Joseph Lewis Brindeiro, Sr.

Joseph Lewis Brindeiro, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, April 30th surrounded by his family.

He was born in Turlock at the new Emanuel Hospital on December 3, 1966.  (December 3rd was his grandfather’s and great grandfather’s birthday.) He grew up with two older sisters, Yvonna Brindeiro and Brenda Lafoom. 

He graduated high school in 1985.  He was a baseball umpire, then he went to work for Foster Farms where he learned to drive a truck.  He had an interesting life working as a sheriff, a paramedic, a phlebotomist and back to work trucking. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Brindeiro, grandparents, Joe and Anita Brindeiro and Elmer and Julia Griffin.

Among his surviving family is his mother Dixie Handa, stepfather Ted Handa and his sisters Yvonna Brindeiro and Brenda Lafoom.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 12 at 1:00pm at Allen Mortuary.

    Oh Joe, my brother from another….I will always remember your humor, your passion for a job, and lord knows your attitude. But most of all I will remember you as a friend who no matter what and where life took you, that you were only a phone call or text away. You left a big hole with your loss. RIP my friend.
