Carole was born in Hayward, CA to Benjamin and Bernice Martinez and passed away at the age of 71 after an extended illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family. Carole was always ready to take in a “lost soul” and help those in need. Carole met and married Ron Rice and together they shared fifty years of marriage.
Her hobbies included dancing, drawing, listening to music and spending time with her family. Carole was a great cook and had an amazing ability to stretch food supplies to feed their large family.
She is survived by her husband Ron Rice; children Danny (Leng) Rice, Cory (Larry) Olmos, Mike Vegas, Todd (Angelica) Glenk, Martin Castillo, Shawna (Zach) Rice and Katrina (Duke) Creech; siblings Ricky (Judy) Martinez, Roxanne (Hank) Wallace and Rocky Gulutz; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, son Kerry Rice, and granddaughter Ronni Jo.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00p.m. also at Allen Mortuary.
