Darla J. Parmley, 82, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, September 19th at her son’s home in Turlock, CA.
Darla is survived by her children Steven (Roberta) Collins, Robert Collins, and Mitchell (Sheree) Collins; stepchildren Charles Parmley and Amanda (Adam) Villalobos; siblings JoAnn Barkhoff and Linda Horst and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darla was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Parmley, sibling Howard Hawthorne and children Tamra Lynn Collins-Reeser and Dwayne Collins.
Darla was a CNA for approximately 35 years. She enjoyed working with the elderly and late in her career, focused on organizing activities for them. Her hobbies included cooking, camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She was a life-time member of the Turlock Sportsman’s Club.
Memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. This next spring, the family will spread her and her husband’s ashes in the Monterey Bay, as their final wish. Please share your condolences at www.AllenMortuary.com
