Doyle Roy Shurtz was born in Greeley Colorado May 25, 1939 to Carl and Recka Shurtz. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 3rd, 2022. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, his children Robert, David (Donna), and Rhonda, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doyle served his country in the Army. He continued to live an adventurous life full of hiking, sightseeing and even skydiving on his 65th birthday. He loved Jesus and would talk about the Bible with anyone, any chance he could.
In his last days he made sure to tell his family not to feel sorry for him, feel sorry for themselves because he was going to a much better place.
Memorial services will be held Friday October 14th at Christ Community Church in Modesto CA at 10am followed by a graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson CA at 1pm.
