Freddie Winters November 3, 1947 - November 8, 2022

Freddie Dewayne Winters passed away November 8, 2022, at the age of 75. Freddie worked for the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department for 32 years wearing many hats through the years and retired as a Sheriff Deputy Sergeant. He was proud of helping establish the substations in the surrounding cities for the Sheriff’s Department. Freddie proudly served in his country in the Navy from 1966 to 1969. Freddie was an outdoorsman who fished whenever he could and go camping to be in nature. He enjoyed putting together puzzles and watching Westerns. He was passionate about history; he liked to learn and discover new facts and information about the past. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Manteca and was a great bartender. Everyone loved Freddie, he talked to everyone and never met a stranger. Freddie is survived by his wife Lora Winters of 24 years, his daughters Jennifer Suzanne Winters and Jill Marie (Scott) Wrigglesworth. He is also survived by his stepchildren Jennifer (Allan) Simmons and Kurt (Megan) Petersen, and his five grandsons.

Freddie was a husband, a father, a grandfather, and friend, he will be remembered and loved always.

    Fred you were the best father a boy could wish for. You taught me the ins and outs of life and made me who I am today. You were always there when anyone needed you, with a happy soul.
