George has peacefully left this world to be with our Lord. George was born in Alameda, CA to parents George Arthur Davies Jr. and Myra Catherine Knox. George was the second of five children. He was predeceased by his parents and also by his four siblings: Sally, Barbara, Nancy and Michael.
George began his career with the Owens Illinois Glass Co. at the age of 19 and continued with them for 47 years until his retirement.
George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Eveadine, who remained by his side throughout his journey. George was blessed with 6 children (Christine, Connie, George, Michael, Tiffany, and Earlene), 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. George was very involved with his church family. George and Evea fostered over 50 children throughout their tenure with “Creative Alternatives”.
Some of George’s happiest retirement days were spent with Evea traveling in their RV exploring wonderful places and visiting friends and family.
George was loved and respected by his friends and family, he will be greatly missed.
In accordance with George’s wishes no services are planned.
