Leta Miller, 101, of Turlock passed away on February 8, 2020. She was born to the late Edward and Nora Toole on April 19, 1918 in Liberal, Kansas.
She was married to the late William (Bill) Miller who passed away in 1983. They lived for 17 years in Sacramento, CA before moving to Delhi, CA and later retired to Chico, CA his home town.
Leta is survived by her two children: Bob (Henrietta) Hall of Turlock, CA and Georgie Hale of Liberal, Kansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Wendy (Matt) Garcia, David (Monica) Hall, Connie, Laurie, Candy and Terry Hale as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Leta worked as a waitress in her younger years and loved being able to talk with her customers about any subject. She loved getting out and walking wherever she went and loved shopping. But mostly, she loved her family and was devoted to sharing and giving of herself. She was always interested to know how all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were doing and kept up to date with all of the news of the family.
As her health declined, she was given excellent care by the caregivers at NorthStar Convalescent Home in Turlock.
Services have been held and interment will take place at Chico Cemetery.
