Ralph Alves Rocha, Jr. passed away peacefully at Stanford Hospital, leaving behind a legacy defined by faith, service, and an unwavering love for his community.

Born in Turlock, California, Ralph was raised in Delhi and graduated from Merced High School in 1992. He went on to devote 27 years of dedicated service to Howard Prep in Modesto, California. There, his compassion, commitment, and caring nature touched and uplifted the lives of countless individuals.

Ralph’s faith was the absolute foundation of his life. A devoted member of Holy Ground Ministry in Turlock, he served faithfully as an ordained minister, evangelist, and usher, while also actively leading the men’s ministry. For 22 years, he skyrocketed the church’s outreach program, offering a steady hand of encouragement, guidance, and support to those in need. Ralph’s profound impact extended into his 20-year leadership of a 12-step program, where he helped many find strength, hope, and a path forward. He will forever be remembered for his true servant’s heart and steadfast devotion to his family, church, and community.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tanya Hill-Rocha; his stepchildren, Jessica Meredith and Christopher Nichols; and his cherished granddaughter, Lili Ramirez Meredith. He also leaves behind his parents, Ralph and Marilyn Rocha; and his siblings, Teresa Bachman, Christine Alamilla, Anthony James Rocha, and David Matthew Rocha and is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Ralph’s kindness, love, and willingness to help others left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service will be lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Ground Ministry, 305 West Canal St, Turlock, CA 95380. A reception will follow immediately after the service.

    I’m sorry to see that Ralph Jr. has passed away. He was a good kid I knew growing up in Delhi. He came from a good family too. ❤️
